Offering more inputs while retaining a compact and easy-to-transport design, the Q-Audio Q-MIX 6FX is aimed at small live performances, duos, karaoke, presentations, podcasts and mobile entertainment. Its combination of analogue mixing, digital effects, media playback and recording makes it a flexible all-round solution.
The additional input capacity allows several microphones, instruments and playback sources to be connected at the same time, providing plenty of scope for live performers and small event setups. Individual channel controls make it straightforward to balance each source during a performance.
A 3-band EQ is provided on each channel for adjusting vocals, instruments and music, while the 32-bit stereo DSP section incorporates 24 effects covering reverb, delay and modulation. This provides a selection of effects without the need for separate external processors.
For playback, the mixer includes both Bluetooth and USB media connectivity. A dedicated media player channel gives independent control over music and backing tracks, making it easy to combine playback material with live sources.
Recording is built into the Q-MIX 6FX, allowing performances and other audio to be saved directly to USB storage in MP3 format. The USB-C audio interface also connects the mixer to computers, tablets and mobile devices for two-channel recording and playback, while playback can be returned through the stereo channel for EQ and level adjustment.
Balanced XLR outputs provide connection to powered loudspeakers and installed sound systems. USB-C power operation further enhances portability, allowing the mixer to be powered from compatible universal supplies or power banks when mains power is not readily available.
