The Allen & Heath AB168 expander replaces traditional analogue stage snakes, allowing for the convenient use of a single Cat cable up to 100m away. With 16 microphone preamps offering +60dB of gain, Phantom Power indicators, and -20dB pads for line-level sources, it ensures versatile connectivity.

Featuring 8 XLR line outs, balanced and relay-protected, the expander also boasts an expander port for daisy-chaining with compatible expanders or linking to ME personal mixers. Its plug-and-play functionality requires no configuration.

Built for the rigours of the stage, the AB168 is designed with ruggedness in mind, featuring hard-wearing rubber bumpers and a lightweight, portable design at just 4.8kg. It can be conveniently placed on the stage floor during performances, with an optional 4U rack mounting kit available for installation in 19-inch racks.

With an additional RJ45 output port for connecting to other suitable expanders, the AB168 offers flexibility and ease of use in various environments, including rental, education, houses of worship, and more.
