Environmental Statement
Terralec Ltd will take all reasonable steps to reduce its environmental impact.  This includes the correct disposal of waste, steps to reduce the amount of the packaging we use and the use of lower energy products where possible.  We are part of the WEEE directive to reduce the amount of electronic waste that is put into the market.  All employees are expected to behave in a way which shows a commitment to the environment.

WEEE
Many of the products we import and sell fall under the category of “EEE”, this stands for Electronic or Electrical Equipment, when these products reach the end of their usable lifespan, they are referred to as “WEEE”, Waste Electronic or Electrical Equipment.   Due to hazardous materials used, it is important that these products are disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner, which is why the WEEE Directive was introduced.  You can identify product that fall under the WEEE directive by looking for the crossed out wheelie bin symbol.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive - Wikipedia

The legislation is different for B2B (business to business) waste and B2C (business to consumer) waste.  Under the WEEE directive, Terralec are responsible for brands it manufactures or imports itself, other brands that are not imported or manufactured by ourselves should be dealt with through the original manufacturer/importer, so it is important to contact us to find out who can assist you when your EEE products are no longer usable.   Your local authority and the website "Recycle More", will also be able to assist end users in disposing of their electronic waste correctly.

Working with our chosen compliance provider, Electrolink, we can assist our customers in returning and disposing of qualifying equipment that falls under our obligations as an importer or manufacturer.  Please contact us with as much information as possible about the goods you need to return by emailing info@terralec.com

Our WEEE Registration Number is: WEE/FD2806UU
